About PDR Law

Attorney Patton Ritter

A Brazoria County attorney focused on two things: defending people facing criminal charges, and helping families get through probate without unnecessary stress.

Born and Raised in Brazoria County

Patton Ritter was born and raised in Alvin, Texas, just a few miles from the Angleton courthouse where he now practices. He earned his undergraduate degree in Finance, graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston–Clear Lake, before attending Texas A&M University School of Law, where he served as Student Bar Association President.

Trained in Estate Planning & Probate Law

During law school, Patton received formal concentration designations in both Estate Planning & Probate Law and Business Law. That early focus shaped his career: for several years, he has built a practice concentrated on estate planning and probate matters, while also handling criminal defense representation for clients throughout Brazoria County. He founded PDR Law to bring that same combination — probate guidance and criminal defense — directly to the community under one roof.

Direct Access to Your Attorney

At a larger firm, your case can get passed between paralegals and junior associates. At PDR Law, Patton Ritter works your case personally — whether that means walking a family through the probate process or standing beside a client in a Brazoria County courtroom.
